I've been an Austinite since 1997. I wasn't born in Austin, but got here as soon as I could. I have three gorgeous children; Rachel, a nurse in Sulphur Springs, Michaelyn, a photographer (she took the picture above), and Jaxon, a high-school student at Bowie. I currently have two pets, Pablo the snake, and a goldren retriever named Pup. 

I'm one of the luckiest people in the world: I get to teach 4th grade at Forest Trail! As a child, I played school with my next door neighbor. I taught her everything I learned and she went on to be accepted at a school for gifted and talented children. So my teaching career started VERY early. I went on to teach everything from quilting to applied economics, although it was quite some time before I got to Texas State to make it official. I've been at Forest Trail ever since.
